Accuracy matters after publication too

If we identify a factual error, misleading statement or material omission, we review the underlying evidence and correct the content as promptly as practical.

Corrections and routine updates

A correction addresses something that was wrong or materially misleading. Routine updates may reflect new evidence, guidance, availability, links or editorial improvements without meaning the previous version contained a factual error.

Material changes should be made transparently enough that readers are not left with an outdated or false impression.
