Terms of Sale

These terms apply when you buy a paid guide or workbook from Midlife Atlas. They sit alongside our Terms of Use, which cover using the site in general; where the two differ about a purchase, these terms apply.

Who you are buying from

You are buying from Midlife Atlas. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Midlife Atlas. You can reach us at hello@midlifeatlas.com.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, your purchase is also covered by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, and the details you enter at checkout are handled under Paddle’s Privacy Notice. Your bank or card statement will show the charge from Paddle alongside our name.

What you are buying

Each paid guide or workbook is a digital PDF, with A4 pages designed to be read on screen or printed at home. Its page in our resources library describes what it covers, how many pages it has and what it costs. Nothing physical is sent.

The guides are educational. They help with tracking, preparation and planning; they do not diagnose, recommend treatment or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Price, tax and payment

• Each guide’s price is shown on its page. Any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live is worked out by Paddle, and checkout shows the total you will pay before you confirm.
• Each guide is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• Paddle takes the payment. We never see or store your card details.
• If a price changes, the price shown at checkout when you buy is the price you pay.

Your account and delivery

• You need a free Midlife Atlas account to buy a guide, so your purchase has somewhere to live. Creating one takes an email address and a password.
• As soon as Paddle confirms your payment, the guide appears in your account under Purchased Guides & Workbooks, where you can download it.
• Each download link is created when you ask for it and expires after a few minutes. You can come back to your account and download the guide again whenever you need it.
• Paddle emails your receipt to the address you give at checkout.
• If you delete your Midlife Atlas account, your purchases and your access to them are deleted with it, so download a copy of anything you want to keep first.

Your licence

Buying a guide gives you a personal licence to use it. The licence printed in each PDF says: “For your personal use. You may print it for yourself. Please do not redistribute, resell or share the file.”

• You may keep the file, read it on your own devices, and print copies for yourself.
• You may not share or resell the file, post it online, or use it in a course, a business or an organisation without our written permission.
• The content stays ours. Buying a guide gives you the right to use it, not ownership of what it contains.

Refunds

You can have a full refund on any guide within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. Our Refund Policy explains how to ask and what happens next. When a guide is refunded, it is removed from your account.

If something goes wrong

If a file will not download or open, or it is not what its page described, email hello@midlifeatlas.com and we will put it right. That does not depend on the 14-day refund window.

Our responsibility to you

The limits on our responsibility in our Terms of Use apply to the guides too. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version shown when you bought a guide applies to that purchase, and the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
