Midlife Atlas
Terms of Use
The terms you accept by using Midlife Atlas, what the site is, and the limits of what it can do for you.
Last reviewed September 16, 2026
These terms apply when you read Midlife Atlas, use the free tools, create an account or join the email list. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
What Midlife Atlas is
We are an independent publisher of midlife health information. We are not a clinic, not a medical practice, and not a healthcare provider. Nobody here is your clinician, and using this site does not create a professional relationship of any kind between us.
This is not medical advice
Everything on this site is general education. It is written for a wide audience and cannot account for your history, your medication, your test results or your circumstances. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who can actually examine you.
Do not start, stop or change a prescription because of something you read here. Talk to your own clinician first.
If you have symptoms that worry you, get them seen. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not use this site, and do not wait for a reply from us.
Your account
An account is optional; the site and the tools work without one. If you create one, give an email address you can actually receive, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into it. An account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under yours.
We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to attack the site, or to harm other people.
The tools
The trackers, diaries and builders organise what you type in and hand it back to you in a clearer shape. That is all they do. They do not diagnose, do not score your risk, do not decide whether a symptom matters, and do not recommend treatment. A summary one of them produces is your own record of what you reported, useful for taking to an appointment — it is not a clinical document and it carries no authority.
We do not guarantee that a tool is free of errors, and you should check anything important before relying on it.
What you may not do
- Copy, republish or redistribute our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site beyond ordinary reading, or use it to train a machine learning model.
- Attack, overload, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its database or anyone else's account.
- Upload anything unlawful, abusive, or designed to damage the site or the people using it.
- Present anything from this site as personalised medical advice, your own work, or the output of a clinician.
- Use the site if you are under 16.
What you write stays yours
The symptom entries, notes and questions you put into the tools belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not publish them. We hold them only in the ways the Privacy Policy describes, and you can ask us to delete them.
Our content
The writing, design, illustrations and code on this site belong to Midlife Atlas or to whoever licensed them to us. You are welcome to read it, print it for yourself, and link to it. Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine. Republishing whole articles is not.
Reviews and affiliate links
Some links to products earn us a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. That commission never buys a verdict: it does not change what we test, what we say, or where a product places. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains the arrangement, and How We Test explains the method.
Links to other sites
We link out to guidelines, research and organisations we think are worth reading. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they say or do. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
Availability
We try to keep the site up, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, withdraw or correct any of it at any time — health guidance changes, and a page that is out of date is worse than no page.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows: we provide this site as it is, without warranties; we are not liable for any decision you take about your health on the basis of what you read here; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.
If you are using the site as a consumer, you keep every right the law in your country gives you, and nothing here takes those away.
Ending your access
You can stop using the site whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections about our content, our liability and what you may not do survive either of those.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the terms change and change the date shown at the top. If a change is significant we will make it obvious rather than quietly editing the page.
Questions
Anything about these terms goes to hello@midlifeatlas.com. If a court decides one part of these terms cannot stand, the rest of them continue to apply.
